French Finance Minister starts her bid to head the IMF

Christine LaGarde, the very much respected French Finance Minister has started her bid to become the next head of the IMF. Despite what BRICs countries are trying to pull, LaGarde is more than likely the best person for the job.

Ms Lagarde has a distinguished career, as a lawyer in the USA as well as her current role in France. She has a no nonsense approach.

This is an opportunity for a woman to break through the glass ceiling. In many ways, I am hoping the Christine LaGarde will be the person chosen to take over the role that was once held by Dominique Strauss-Khan the accused rapist.
